It appears that O.A.A is scheduled for the 2nd weekend of October(9th/10th).

I would like to host the T.O.O. chapter. What day works better for you guys, Sat or Sun??

P.S., I have an old Gas Station Sign post to hang th OPEL flag(That means you Rick)

Saturday preferred, but ...........

........ either day is ok with me. I'll bring both flags and the string of pennants too
Saturday would be better with me only because of picking up Adam for the weekend - less running around on Sunday that way.
Thanks for running with this, Jeff. :)

Just a reminder folks. T.O.O O.A.A is just over 2 weeks from now.

I need to start a headcount.

I was planning on (Blitz)Burgers and dogs unless you guys want something else.

I will put directions together as the date approaches.

OK, T.O.O., O.A.A. is only 8 days away.

I would like to have a get together with Burgers and Dogs, but I only got one response(thanks Opelgtguy). It will be held in on Oct. 09 in Salfordville, PA, between Lansdale and Quakertown, PA. It doesn't matter what shape your Opel is in, bring it!! If you don't bring it, just come on over.

I need a headcount so I can get the food. Kids welcome!!! If anyone has any special Beer requests, let me know and I will try to get it.

Directions to come.

For those not familiar with the Lansdale area, it is about an hour from Flemington, NJ, 45 minutes from West Chester, PA. 25-30 minutes from Plumbsteadville, 1 hour from Philadelphia, 10 minutes from Green Lane(note, these towns were not picked at random :D )

A positive or negative response is requested. Thanks Jeff

Jeff,

We'll be there (4). Burgers and dogs are fine. What would you like us to bring? Looking forward to it.

I hope to bring the Kadett and the Manta. However, my machine shop is currently working on a piece for my Manta so I guess it all depends on how quickly they get it done so I can get it back together. I also have another part on order from Eibach that I need to finish things up. Not to mention that I have to go away for work on Wednesday and Thursday so I will lose those days to work on it. Hopefully it will all work out.
Yes, a starting time for the festivities would be appreciated.

Cancel/Postponement of T.O.O/O.A.A.

:(
I hate having to do this, but my back went out on Saturday where I couldn't move and I had to be trasported to the hospital via ambulance. I literally crawed from my back yard into my house and awaited for help to arrive. My wife sugguested and I reluctantly agreeded that I have to cancel/postpone this weekends getogether. I'm feeling better now(still can't stand up straight), MRI and a few drugs.( I walk like Igor) I'm not even able to drive my truck which has a hydrolic clutch so the Opel is out of the question.

Again, I am deeply sorry and I hope we can do something before the first snow. I want to get together since all of the events I have been to have been great.

Sorry

Ok, we'll do it Saturday at 12:00 noon if that's good for everyone, which at this point is only two people. I hope we get more interest than that. Let me know your thoughts.

Your place ? Again ? :p

I don't know if I'll be a one a two or more.
What do you need ? I have a pile of plates and cold cups dying to live at someone else's house. What can I/we bring food-wise ? The flags will be there, too !

Got another cross-country jaunt mapped out ? :D

Well, somebody has to host it. I figured someone better step up since it's only 5 days away. I guess it would be great if everyone would bring a side dish or desert. We'll put the cups and plates to good use if you like. Burgers and dogs again or???? I didn't plan another route but if everyone (all three of us) wants to cruise again I guess I could. Input, need more input. Now I sound like "Johnny 5". We need to get in touch with Marc and Jim. Rick, how about Joe? His car should be done by now. I'd like to see more than just the three of us.

Hi Duane:
I sent a link to this thread to Joe (he had it all done minus the rear trim piece last time we talked), and have sent e-mails to a few of the other guys who have not yet been able to join us for a meet.
Keep it simple - with burgers and dogs - is my vote. Maybe if it stays a small group, we just gather at your house for a while then go driving and eat somewhere ?!?!?!?
I'll try PM-ing Francis.
Thanks,
Rick

Thank you!!!!

Duane;

Thanks for doing this. We all owe you!!! With all of the pain killers and muscle relaxers, maybe I can roll the Opel out into the driveway. If you do decide to cruise by, please call first. My # is 610-287-5863.

My address is 845 Old Skippack Road, Salfordville, PA 18958. If you take Route 563 all the way to route 63, Old Skippack Road is directly across the road. Take it approx 2.3 miles and you will be at my house. We could even get Pizza or Hoagies delivered if you don't mind a messy house!!

Jeff, I meant to respond to your initial post about your back problems, but got waylaid with other pending commitments. But, I have total sympathy for you. I had a similar occurance a few years ago, it took me 45 minutes to get out of my car, and, in a recent recur, I was stuck in my recliner for 6 hours, until Margaret got home to wedge me out of it. The only thing I found that helps is laying flat on the floor and let the medication do its thing. Recently, I ordered a sample of Bee Venom Cream, from the land of GTJim, pricey for the amount received, but it did accelerate the recovery time. It's good stuff. A walker is nice to have also, so you can take a load off when the spasms hit. Any way, hope you get better soon, and are up and around quickly, I know this is not fun at all.
