Where does the tach get it's signal from? Mine is not working and I want to start running down the problem from the easy side first. Any other sugestions are appriciated.

Run from the negitive side of the coil to the middle of the three prongs on the back to the right of the tach on the gauges.

Stay grounded

Make dang sure you got a real good ground on the tach or you will get the dreaded "Tach bounce". Been there- done that
