Finally, after being in restoration for the last almost 2 years, my ol' GT is running again. Not running the greatest as of right now, but I just got to get some gas through the lines so it can actually idle, and hook up a few more vaccum lines. The point is, the car actually started. I'm proud of myself. :D Being 16, and knowing this much about cars already..I hope it bring me a good future.

Way to go, you showed that some of us young guys are actually useful with cars, we don't just like to drive them recklessly.... thats just a bonus ;) I can't wait for the day i can make the same post about my gt, gotta wait for the body work to be done first though......

It has taken many days of frustration, pissy moods, and almost giving up..but I pulled through and its finally on its way to being completed. Take one step at a time and you'll pull through.

I was suprised how much rumble that car has with just an exhaust manifold.. lol.

i ran the GT openheader for a few days, now thats a noisy rice burner sounding exhaust. motor mount broke, twisted exhaust too much and broke the pipe 3 or 4 inches behind the collector.

Its not even rice burner sounding..its just -- annoying! After seeing my body roll like 2 inches while starting up..I think tomarrow I'm either gunna put some junk pipe on it, or throw a spare muffler on there. I have about 3 rusted junk mufflers, a muffler from my cavalier, and a muffler from my avenger. One should work.

Just wanted to say congrats! Mine got cranked just a few days ago after over a year of repair/rebuild. Hope yours and mine don't take much more to make them purr along.
