There is an option in your User CP to set your default on the age of the forum posts that are visible when you visit. If you are a frequent visitor, set it to show the latest posts. If you are an occasional visitor, set it to 30 or 60 days. The default is 1,000 days so visitors will see all the posts.

Gary when looking at new posts, is there a way to make all posts not read, because you dont want to read them, be marked as read so they dont keep coming up as new? A Mark All Read button? Thanks.

The default to mark posts as read is 5 days.

You can mark all forums as being read before the 5 day setting by going to the forum home page and clicking on the mark forums read link at the bottom.
