Can someone advise me on tire selection? I have lowered my car, with front and rear sway bars, along with the HRE 50 series wheels. I was formerly advised to get BF Goodrich Euro Radials but, they don't make them anymore (205/50R15). Please try to give approximate prices. I usually try to order them through Costco.
Thanks,
Mark

Ahem. Threads on tires belong in the "Wheels and Tires" forum. I moved this there, so have a look around. Once upon a time, wheels and tires for a GT were one of the greatest mysteries about the car (after the PCV system), but since this forum, it's kind of a dead horse. But keep on kicking, if you don't find the answer you are looking for...

Tires for Opel GT

Checking the "Tire Rack" (Thanks Bidi), I've found 2 possibilities in the categories of H (or higher) speed rating; and Ultra High Performance-All season:

Michelin Pilot XGT V4 ($123 ea.) or Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymetrical ($107 ea.).

Does anyone have any experience with either of these tires? Any other suggestions? The Costco personnel seemed to be high on Bridgestone Potenza's ("Comparable to what you had previously" - BF Goodrich Euros) but, I didn't want to simply take this word before checking with the experts.
Thanks,
Mark

Pirelli P6000 and Continental "Ecos" are pretty good tyres too. They have silicone rubber compounds in the tread which aid traction and lower rolling resistance too.

I bought a set of their tires back in the late 70's from TeleTire, for my sister's 74 Manta. They were very good tires. A lot has changed in 25-30 years, but they might be worth a try.
