When did they start using the red upper stop for the torque tube.

It's just part of the urethane stuff that we had to use when all the oem rubber stuff ran out. The red urethane stuff was made here and maybe other places aftermarket.

OGTS came out with urethane replacements about 30 years ago.

All the rubber looks good. not sure if I should replace it.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke.
But think of how much fun you might miss out on, if you followed that rule.
