I've been reading about how to replace a tire pressure sensor in my 2008 Saab 9-3. Since 2008, all US vehicles were required to have some kind of TPMS system. The problem is that after one of the batteries inside a sensor dies, the system fails, and you will get warnings on the dash that won't go away. My sensors are an extension of the tire valves and are inside the tire. The batteries aren't easily replaced. Most people just take their vehicle to a shop and have the tires removed, replace the sensors, remounting and balancing the wheels, and paying hundreds of dollars to have this done every 5 years or so.

I really don't know if I want this system in any of my GTs. But, if someone were to want to add on an easy to install TPMS system as an upgrade, there is an inexpensive solution. And, the tire pressure sensor batteries in the tire valve caps are easily replaceable.
