Rick, we got a standard used 2 post lift and cut it down. Took about 2' off the top. The rails can be sawed easily with a metal cutting saw similar to a standard Skillsaw but higher rpm and special blade. The cut is slow but very clean and efficient. We then had to cut a section of the leveling cables out and using "U" bolt clamps put them back together at the correct length. Bleeding the cylinders was the most difficult part as the cylinder fittings for bleeding were now inaccessible. I made a manifold to attach the oil reservoir and a vacuum pump (A/C style) to the cylinder hoses. I first sucked all the air out of the cylinder and lines, valved off the pump, and then quickly opened the valve to the oil reservoir. This filled the cylinders w/o trapping any air bubbles. Works great. I can raise the car about 42" off the floor.

Well finally caught someone at that garage that's closing down. The lift I'm searching for, he had and gave to his father-in-law, bummer. The other two were monster lifts and would be overkill for what I'm needing. Search continues.
