I just received a call from Jim M. of USA Opel. The property his business is located on has been sold out from under him, he has 30 days to move. 28 cars and three buildings of parts have to go. He told me he will discount parts for those that want them. Some parts and cars will be going on e-bay. He also will need assistance from the local Opelers here in SoCal to help pack and move his stuff between now and the 24th of May. If you can help by puchasing parts or help on the move give him a call at 1-909-693-1432 or e-mail to: [email protected].

J. J., Right now he has to vacate the property he is on. He has a couple of neighbors who are willing to let him store some of the cars on their property. He's looking into getting another location, possibly, but I don't know what his long term plans are. This has been a really bad year for him so far, a lot of illness in his famliy and domestic problems. He's getting more than his share so far this year. He gets one thing taken care of and another problem takes its place. A real bummer. :(

Willy, send him and e-mail or call him, that info is in my original post. One thing I and others know about Jim, he bends over backwards to help customers out. As soon as I find out anything else, I'll put it out on both sites.

So. Cal Volunteers???

Hi all,
I received an email from Jim at USA Opel yesterday afternoon. He is really in need of volunteers to help him inventory and pack parts before the 24th of May. Anyone in Southern California that can volunteer some time and help out please contact Jim at 909-693-1432 or e-mail to: [email protected].
Lets all pull together and help out a fellow Opeler!

I actually dropped him a note yesterday as well, after reading Ron's post. He has a couple of dates in mind. He thinks he will be doing inventory and packing on 5/15-5/16, and actually moving on 5/22-5/23.

Any chance we might be able to get a crew together all at once? I think with enough people we could get him into pretty good shape.

I just checked Margaret and we're going to tied up for the next three weekends. She's got to see her mom in Seattle, the motorhome is going to be used by her family members, and I've got to get it ready, and my granddaughter needs help on her car. All this could have not happened at a worse time. :(

Since there seem to be two separate threads on this subject, I will post here too. I am currently planning on going up to Jim's shop on May 22 to help out. Based on an email I got from him, it looks like that is one of the days he will actually be hauling stuff. Since I am big, and dumb, and pretty good at moving heavy objects, I figured he could use my help.

It would be great if we could get a bunch of SD/Riverside County folks together for this. Anyone else in?
