Are 70' through '72' models of the same car acceptable? They are the same with some minor grille variations. (Not that I have one, just wanting to expand your chances...)

I haven’t looked as closely at those years, but yes, if they are the same body style then I would still be interested.

I may be wrong but if the 4dr is what you're after they were imported to the US for like one year. Most are either 2dr sedan or 2dr Wagons

As has been mentioned by others these do not come up for sale often, especially in good shape. Earlier model years had carbureted 1.9's and smaller chrome bumpers. 75 model year had a Fuel Injected 1.9 and a larger aluminum bumper. A couple of folks grafted the front of a Manta to the Ascona thus creating a Mancona. I at one time had a 75 with 15 inch wheels that handled much better than my GT. Good luck on your search.
