Gary I know your pain.+1 on those links. My '84 Senator 3.0 CD drove me crazy with an electrical problem. The only way I could keep it running was to disconnect the wire that runs from the start switch to the starter. It ended up being a problem in the cruise control circuit that was back feeding enough current through the solenoid to drop the voltage and the motor died. Disconnected the cruise control and the problem went away....
Had a 1999 "dodge this" cummins
That the TCC would lock then unlock for some reason.
Scoped the sucker and noticed noise on the circuit
Disconnected the alternator...the convertor stayed locked
Finally found the problem
one of the dual battery’s had a bad ground :yell:
