I found some really good info using the search, but I could not find answers to all my questions. So far I have found this:
PRIMARY(32)-MAIN 135 AIR 165
SECONDARY(36) MAIN 140 AIR 160
and emulsion tube F66
This is for a (likely) tired 73 GT 1.9l

Also, which accellerator pump jet would be correct? (.55?)

I slapped on a used carby originally from a 2L Ford Sierra....
It won't idle unless the idle is set way high (so it is likely off the idle circuit). I haven't pulled the carb apart to see what jets it has, but I will likely just order a rebuild kit and the correct jets (regardless of what is currently in the car).....

Is the above jetting info accurate?

Thanks,
Tim

You are on the right track. I am assuming that what you called a "accelerator pump jet" is the Idle jet, and .55 is a size that is recommended by many others on this site.

You are correct that your best bet is to order the jets exactly as you need them and get a rebuild kit with a new float (no sense in trying to chase down a bouncy float after all that work). It's very important that you order exactly the jets that you want, do not rely on some "tuner's expert opinion". Chances are that expert has never seen an Opel and the jets that you referenced above are recommended by several Opel veterans.

Racetep is guilty of selling me a "performance jet kit specifically tuned to the Opel engine". The jets I recieved were waaaay off. I called them back and their representative basically said "I'm sorry, there must be something wrong with your engine"

I've had much better luck with www.carburetion.com (ordered on Wed, rec'vd Sat).

Memory seems to stir about the 2L Ford Sierra Weber carb; I think the barrels are about face from the carb used for Opels and that causes a bit of idle problems - it has been mentioned somewhere here ...
To clarify the primary barrel is outboard on one carb - inboard on the other.

MadH: Yeah, I read all about the problems with those guys in some of the searches.....
I was going to order from Pierce manifolds, but I will check the others out too.
GTJim....while watching the car running (looking down the barrels), the outer was providing juice

Search!

Put "32/36 Weber" into the search and heaps of threads are found.
"Ford (Motocraft) carb" should also get some info as will "Holley"

I have not found the initial discussion about the reversed throats but it is mentioned in many of the posts. I'll leave it for you to track down. ;)
