weber heater hose route PICS please!

Not sure if I got this in the correct forum, I apologize if its not right! Could someone please post a pic of the heater hose route for a weber water choke? I did a search and nothing came up. I also went to a few other sites and the choke housing appears to be a bit strange. By this I mean the inlets are pointing one to the front and the other points towards the rear. I cant figure out how to route it without putting in a bunch of elbows and that would look a bit sloppy. Also, the solex choke inlets were 3/8" and these are 5/8" so the tees that came with the carb are useless!(not to mention the carb had several missing pieces and a ripped diaphram) I bought this carb from someone on this site and he said "it worked great, just needed a cleaning"(yea,right!!!) I rebuilt it and thankfully, I was able to get the "missing parts" I sure hope this thing works and it wasnt his "spare parts" carb!!!
I need this car to run now, so PLEASE, someone help a guy out here!

Close, so I gave it a small shove to the correct Forum...

Weber DGAV's come with both the small hose connections facing the same way, and the large ones facing opposite directions. Frankly, I would try to get the smaller choke housing rather than trying to get the hoses to fit, not to mention dealing with the 5/8" size. Hmm, I don't suppose the Solex housing would fit, would it? I threw away my Solex so many years ago I can't recall.

Or better still, get an electric housing from a DGEV and go that route. The water choke works better in cold climates, but how cold can it get in WI?

Another solution is convert it to a manual choke. I see the conversion kits on eBay all the time, and I suspect that Weber supply stores sell them as well.

Yep, I thought the solex might just fit, close but no cigar. I dont really want to do the electric, I am starting to think you may be right, the manual would be the way to go. You CAN convert a water to a manual right???(I thought the carb housing was different) This would give me the ability to have more control of things. It does go from -40 to 100 degrees in a day here!!!
