1.9 bigger valve head on a used 2.2 block.

1- what are the effects if you bolt on a 1.9 head to a 2.2 shortblock...can you compensate for the high compression thru enlarging the combustion chamber?
what i am getting at is this.

I have a new 1.9 head just back from the shop with hardened seats and 2 liter intake valves. Our fellow member tking in Joplin Mo as a 2.2 complete engine for sale, I dont need a complete engine as I would like to put to use this new head, so I was thinking about buying the complete engine for the 2.2 shortblock, selling off the injection ,head and ancillary parts.I dont want high tech injection.

I would end up with a used 2.2 shortblock and a reconditioned bigger valve head form a 1.9.this sounds saaweeet.on paper anyway

2-another option would be to drop the whole 2.2 engine in and sell off my
investment in the reconditioned 1.9 head to a club memeber or on ebay.

3-another option would be to re ring my existing 1.9 with the second ring in total seal gapless as is mentioned to freshen up engine.I theard this may be economical.Put in main seals too.

I cant see the value in a complete rebuild of 1.9 for someone like me who would need
to hire the heavy mechanics.

thanks for any advise

I am looking at options

( the problem is my clutch is going and I am leaking an annoying amounts of oil, when the engine comes out for the clutch, I dont want to have to repeat my labor expenses to my mechanic..a year later)

thanks guys

cam timing a 1.9 to 2.2 block

if the mating surfaces of both the 1.9 head and the 2.2 block are unshaved. will the mating of the surfaces throw off cam timing ?

thanks
