Actually most all Automatic Kadetts had 3.18s exception being the later 70 and 71.. and I THINK my speedo is a bit odd as its a 7 tooth ( I checked ) and the 1097 works. Looks from Dieters spreadsheet I need a 997 ( if 7 tooth in auto ) or possibly something older and an older 5 tooth blue gear and a 712ish ?
Going to dig in parts books I THINK I remember them listing them by W number in there.
I'm bringing this thread back to life as I'd appreciate some more info on the excel sheet. Dieter, could you explain what row 4 is? It's the only row I can't view and it contains some sort of necessary calculation. I'd like to experiment with the numbers, like say a 21 tooth gear to work with larger tires.
Can someone tell me the number on the light bulb for the Opel GT clock. I have replaced all my dash bulbs with LED but the clock bulb is a different size. Trying to find the letters/number on the clock bulb so I can order in LED. Thanks.
Has anyone relocated their battery, and if so, where did you put it. I would think you should be able to fit it in the gastank area with a relocation kit (currently looking online for one). I have the spare tire and everything already removed so space shouldn´t be an issue...
I normally do not drive my GT when it is raining but I got caught by shower the other day.
I noticed that the wipers are not automatically returning to park position any more. Otherwise, the wipers work fine, both speeds, just not returning when switched off. As I said, this was fine before...
