No, it's not Willit? My neighbor took me to a friend's garage to show me this. Here's some hints. It was built on a 1979 Lincloln chasis with a 351 cu. in. Ford engine. Reputedly to be Liberace's personal car and one of three known to exist. Sadly to say, the hood was out being repaired, but you get the gist of what can be done, or needs to be undone to our beloved Opel GT.
I'll let you know what it is tomorrow, if no one knows. :yup:
It's an example of the "Kanzler Coupe," an Opel GT body
shell laid on a Lincoln Chassis in 1979, by a coachbuilder
in Newport Beach (named Ernie Kanzler, who reportedly
was Henry Ford's Uncle).
Someone posted about seeing one before, in Vancouver,
Well there, we have a winner, it is indeed a Kanzler Coupe. From what I understand, the GT body minus from the firewall froward was fastened to the Lincoln frame. Full specifications are in the thread indicated by Anonymous D. Here's a pic of the cast brass name tag forward of the door and also pics from the manufacturer's brochure.
But until you put that into my head, I liked it. Looks well done. The only place the blending seems weird is the bulldog jowl between the front of the door and the wheel arch/hood. That whole intersection.
At first I thought you were talking about her with the blending and jowl...I love that movie....
