Well I've got a 1974 Sportwagon and am slowly working through it. I've got a new pair of door window scrapers (the rubber squeege the rides on the outside of the window to keep water out of the door) but cant figure out how to remove the old ones to install the new.

Does anyone have any idea how these are attached and how best to go about removing them? I'll be reducing the weight of my car by about 50 pounds when the doors are no longer serving as fish tanks!

Got it

If anyone is interested:

The scrapers are pinched into the aluminum trim and pinged/punched from the glass side with a punch to hold them in. An old butter knife did a good job of opening the groove up enough to see what was holding the scrapers (the dimples from the punch).

I pulled the old one out of the groove, opened groove enough to shove the new scraper in, and used a wide gasket scraper as a punch to close the groove back without making more dimples. A rag laying over the door and glass protected it from damage during the replacement.
