Aftermarket Fog light placement

Don’t know if I can make this work or not but: I just purchased a pair of vintage SEV Marchal fog lights on eBay. It was a really low ball offer (made on a lark not really knowing what I was going to do with them - but I really liked them)....and I got it. Now what? 2 obvious questions.
1. Where can I place them? (I had been going over a ton of Opel GT rally and race images from Europe and only one position I like is on either side of the front license plate holder).
2. How am I going to wire them up? As in where should they connect on the fuse panel.

Those are nice! Google “Opel gt rally” and you can get some ideas on where to put them. I’d personally go for front bumper lined up with the outer edge of each nostril.

Don’t add them to the fuse box. I would run a wire strait from the battery through an inline 10 or 15 amp fuse to an on off switch on the heater vent near your right knee inside the car and run the output from that switch strait to the lights. The lights appear to be grounded through the mounting point so it’s literally that simple!

Noted on the wiring. I have disconnected my rear defog switch. Is it possible to route there? On a side note - googled ‘Opel GT race rally’ beforehand and came up with a load of images and seems to be inline with how I view the Opel GT - a European group 4 car - not the baby vette talk (which I consider a slag on the Opel as I had a vette and think its nonsense). I feel the North American Opel audience doesn’t know the race and rally lineage the GT had (not that it was a monster like an Audi Quattro or Lancia Stratos, but still), until you google image it.

I use to have that type. You can still buy the yellow tinted bulbs.

I later repurposed another set of turn signal cans and installed them. I really like the look. They weren't true fog lights, they had the super rare GT daytime driving lights in them.

That seems to be the placement I was thinking of as in your last pic. I’m not sure if I will drop the license plate like that however. I know it may need to be adjusted.
