Hello, I have been working on this Opel Kadett for a little while now and have done much research about it but still cant find exactly what model it is?

-It used to have a vinyl roof but was removed and just painted black.
-It has the 1.9 4 speed in it as well.
-It was imported from germany and the title was lost so insurance just decided on it being a 1970 rallye, but multiple things about the car point to it not being a rallye.

Can you help me figure out what year and model this is?

I can give y'all more information (to my knowledge) if asked for as well.

If this came from Germany with this front, it was sold as an "Opel Olympia A", which was the upscale version of the Kadett, and available mostly with the larger (CIH) engines. A previous vinyl roof also points in that direction. The body style was also known as the "LS Coupe", I had a 1700 back then in Germany. The Olympias did NOT come as Rallye versions.

PS and edit: I just noticed the "long wrap-around tail light" in the one picture. These were NEVER used on a car for the non-US market! In order to make that fit on a European-market car, you either have to break off two of the attachment bolts on the light housings, or drill the holes for them in the body.

The Olympia front is slightly different, the turn signal lenses are under the head lights, not in the grille like on the thread starters car. It could be a car originally ordered by someone in the US military that served in West Germany, which explains its import from there.

Yes, I agree. A 1900 coupe from the USA, dating from 1970. A very rare vehicle in Europe. I don't know of more than ten. Only one of my Kadetts is known in Europe. The only one I have in Germany and Europe.
