I am planning on having the car rolling with motor running for 2010 Carlisle, with it completed by the 2011 Carlisle National Meet.
Hmm.. Well time does fly by doesn't it.. ? Missed those..

Crossing fingers for it to be rolling off the trailer in GA this fall..

Then home to get interior, body, tires.. etc.. Maybe Carlilse National Meet 2016 is more in line with a 100% finish date at this rate.

BTW.. thinking of this on the hood (Its also an Atlas :) )

That said probably sticking to the TE2800 paint scheme..

Motor is sitting alright.. It was in the car when it went to Tenn :nana:

I know Jessie has built the header so far.. but other than that, I don't know what has been accomplished.

I'm really ready to get this car finished :scared1:

But to do that it has to get home..

Headers done, 90% of the engine wiring is done, motor and trans are sitting where they should. Biggest thing keeping me from starting it is adapting a fuel pump over. I have the pump just haven't gotten that far.

Charles,
I bought a 2006 Colorado Z-71 crew cab with the I-5 engine 2 months ago. If the 5 is any indication, it is one smooth running little engine and that I-4 should be a powerful little engine for the lightweight Manta. Can't wait to hear future progress reports on your build and how it ultimately turns out. Best of luck with her.
Take Care,
Mike

Was looking at the I5 but a little too long and the amount of mods to get it in wasn't going to be worth the extra headache. At 175 HP and 185 FT/LBS I think that will be more than adequate for my little Manta :) If anything it should be a junior version of my 06' GTO. That's what I am hoping for.

Butthead :)
It can't be as bad as this.
Yikes.. Thats an "interesting" fuse panel.. LOTS of crimps.. But it looks like you are being diligent..

If I get home before dark tonight I'll get some pictures. Boss is on vacation, in I'm have to run the shop, do paper work, payroll, and all that good stuff.

And all the ones I had are on a non functioning phone now.
