A showcase to see some of the adaptations for custom, sport, side mirrors.

I’ve thought for years that the 2006-2012 Nissan Versa mirrors would look good and fit a Manta or Ascona well. That car has the same general body contour in the mirror area, which is uncommon these days. Plus most modern cars mount the mirrors in the window frame area.

I was going to put a set on my 1975 Sportwagon in fact, but then decided to go with a retro vibe instead.

Remarkably I found the Vitaloni set off my 1975 Manta racecar. They have no rubber bases as they were solid mounted to avoid vibration. They’re about 30 years old but have been off the car for 20 of those years.

The mirrors are both flat with a slight blueish tint to the glass.

Those very much resemble the "California style" mirrors currently on the marketplace.

Another type that was used a lot were Englemann mirrors. You have to make sure to get the type that's a little notched out where the mirror pivots in order for the mirror to be positioned horizontal. Someone sold me a set that were configured for a Manta without the notch out. I ended up putting them on my trailer.

Here's black set for sale:

Here's a carbon fiber set of California style mirrors at a nice price. Do an Ebay search for them, there come in many shape variants.:
