Mantapart intake, hence the ‘MP’.

I seem to recall that Opel Parts and Service in VA actually had the casting work done for Tim Meehan at Mantapart.

I used this one back in my "boy racer" days before going to dual Webers and then finally the EFI.

You could be a very bad influence on my bank account!!

 

Just to clarify, this requires the cut away on the GT heater box, correct?

 

No cutting is needed for a SSD setup.

 

Interesting, I always thought that you had to have the offset midikit, if this one works I’ll bet it flows better than the offset one.

Edit: I have no experience with the side drafts, I just did some homework & found some pictures, the Midikit looks like the carburetor is closer to the heater box. Don’t know where I got that idea from.

 

I don’t recall which SSD intake I had on my 70 GT with a single Weber 46 DCOE but the heater box was never an issue with mine.
