Transmission removal help please

I have a couple questions about removing the transmission and bell housing to get to the clutch. The FSM mentions a thrust spring when disconnecting the drive shaft. Where would I find that spring? There is none that I see in the shaft or transmission.

The clutch cable passes through a hole in the bell housing. See photo below. What is the trick to getting it out?

Lastly, any tips getting to the top bolts of the transmission and bell housing would be appreciated.

There was no spring in the drive shaft on my car.

I wrote you a step by step here.

The spring is not inside the driveshaft. It is inside the transmission tail housing. If you’re missing it you will need one. OGTS makes them.

The top bolts can sometimes be reached with an impact and long extensions through the shifter hole in the body especially if you remove the trans mount and angle the engine and trans down on a jack. Otherwise cut down a cheap 15mm wrench and get them from the top. Cussing and a breaker bar is sometimes required.
Yes and thank you! I was unsure on the spring.

I am still struggling. Got the transmission out and have gotten hung up on the bell housing. In the photo below you can see the extension accessing one of the two bolts at the top of it. Neither of these will break free. I’ve soaked it in PB blaster several cycle. Used and impact and no success. I have even used a block of wood with an air hammer to vibrate the bell housing.

How many bolts hold it to the engine? The one photo below, looking toward the front of the car the arrows point to 6 bolts. The Lower 4 are out. Are these 6 all that need to be removed for the bell housing to be removed? Do the bolts in the other two photos ( looking to the rear of the car) also need to be removed?

Thanks in advance.
