Here are some photos I took of my 1970 GT dash loom and gauges before I installed them in the car. The car it came from was not equipped with a rear defrost, fog lights, or AC. The red wire that goes to the gauges and switches is constant power, black and red is switched +, black-yellow is for the turn signal circuit, grey is illumination, and blue, blue-black, blue-green, are signal wires, i.e. a ground whose resistance varies. Brown with no stripe is always a ground. Blue-white is D+, green to tach is pulsed DC from - of the the coil. I'll have to cover ammeter and fuse box wiring in a separate post as I do not have a wiring schematic handy. The larger gauge wires from the switches are for the blower, parking lights, wipers, etc.

Not to slight Alex in anyway with his post.
I've found that you can add up to five tags.
The "tag" keywords seems to work better with the search engine.
For some reason you can only add Tags on the very first post of a thread.
I know that this is off topic.

So I got the GT wiring all tested yesterday, and I found that if the wire for the brake indicator is switched with a ground, your oil pressure gauge will jump when you turn on the hazard flashers, and your high-beam light, brake indicator light, and several gauges won't work correctly. Oops..... Going to post better pictures later today. Oh, and I found that the "Red Rocker of Death" normally lights up if you test the brake light circuit or pull the parking brake.

Thanks! Here are some better quality pictures that you guys might find helpful. I made a little connector to run the parking brake switch with the rocker switch, that's the brown wire with the insulation around the connector. The first picture show the correct colors for the ammeter gauge, the second shows where to run them so they don't get in the way of anything. Last two are the turn signal relay connection, and the difference between early and late GT-AL rocker switches.

What year..? There are MANY different variations on the dash gauge cluster..

BTW.. looks like you had a nice dash to work with.. wires were nice and clean.
