I'm interested in the no.2 option with a lambda boss in the exhaust.

I'm v lucky as i have a new 2.2 with injection manifold and megasquirt 2 that I'm slowly putting back into my gt. i have even put an turbo oil drain pipe in to my sump just in case.

i need to start saving.
Bob If you can supply these pieces 2 me, then please pm me a price and with delivery to Dallas. My brother lives there and can forward them on to me.

Im also interested in the intercooler pipes

Almost forgot. Before I left my shop last night I bolted an SR20 Nissan throttle body onto the Opel intake, a silicone reducer/coupler, and a piece of tubing. There is a surprising amount of room still under the hood! Very shocked to have this much space on a GT.

I also taped together the turbo air intake tube with an old air filter I had laying around. It's just in the ballpark location, I'd need the 'real' filter to figure the final resting spot. But it gives you an idea.

Looks freakin awsome Bob. Things are really coming along. Can't wait to see it all functional and performing.

Thanks Vin. I wish I was making this a runner. But this car is not registered and is missing half its' parts (and body panels). I'm just using it for mockup purposes. If I were to develop an actual turbo 'kit', I'd need a running donor car to sort things out.

As it stands, I'm just developing/fitting the components for someone to put together their own turbo system.

But if someone local to me wanted to invest in EFI, a turbo, and an intercooler, I'd donate the rest of the turbo system and my time for free in order to develop a full system.

i have most things you could borrow or use for prototyping.
A ms2 running wasted sperk, (pro builder tested new software, as part of sale)
A new wasted spark twin spark pack with matching new ign cables..may need smaller plugs. Best to set dwell up with a oscilloscope if poss
new lambda bosch
lambda controller supposed to work with MS2 made in USA.
Home made MS2 relay plate.
All needed gm sensors,
Toothed pulley wheel from 2.4 frontera and matching sensor
AUDI 1.8 TURBO BOSCH fuel injectors from a low milage car
Fuel pressure regulator.
fuel rail
tickover bosch
stuff

Of course some one a few thousand miles may be preferable to you

Bob.
I have a GT that could be used for this. Let's talk.

Hmmmm, it appears that starting a large project such as a full turbo kit development would not be a wise thing mere months before I close down my shop.

Or so my GF tells me....?

So it looks like I'm going to stop where I am, at least for a couple of years.

This was the last of the parts I ordered for prototyping. It allows me to jig the intercooler tubes, the turbo air intake, and the diverter valve (BOV) plumbing. I went with an aftermarket VW 1.8t style diverter valve, which will recirculate air back into the turbo inlet pipe. I'm guessing most Opel owners are more 'mature' in their years and don't really want a loud 'discharge to atmosphere' type blow-off valve. A diverter valve, properly plumbed, helps the turbo spool better between shifts anyway.

Included in the materials I ordered are enough silicone bends to make a new lower radiator hose from scratch, which clears the turbo inlet. All in all there's about $220 worth of air filter and silicone hoses here!

Close my shop ooohh nooo

And I wanted to hit you up for a custom Opel front suspension setup (before I spend all my tax return on something else)

Lol, timing is everything Dave. It'll be a while before I can do work like that again.

Not to mention, I recently decided to give Roger Wilson the front suspension from my father's GT. The poor guy isn't getting any younger, and can't afford the suspension upgrades he really wants. Since my dad's car is now getting all custom suspension, the Opel-based suspension is useless to me. But there's still $1600 invested. It's got all custom Delrin AF bushings, custom metal rack mounts, custom steering arms, composite leaf spring, Chrysler ball joints, fully seam welded parts, adjustable camber, etc.

If you had asked about selling that two weeks ago I would probably have. But now it's promised to Roger.

No worries that’s the way the ball bounces

When I was back in TX digging up some old FI pics I found some pics of suspension work you had done

The 2 pics you posted do not do your work justice

Dave, I don't know if I asked this before but can you send me a detail picture of the front of your GT?
I find your car exceptional with the minor mods you did!

Sorry
I am in CO right now the car is in TX

I am taking care of my rent house and I won’t get back to TX until Sept

Last week I also got in the diverter valve for the GT turbo prototype. It's a VW style valve, but rather than a stock plastic Bosch valve, I went for a billet aluminum 034 Motorsport valve. Much stronger and less failure prone, yet still reasonably priced.

As mentioned before, the diverter valve will be plumbed back into the turbo air inlet. It should help to retain turbo spoolup between shifts.

Workin' slow today in this heat, however I managed to prototype the diverter valve plumbing. The VW diverter valve uses 1" fittings, so I welded on some 1" aluminum tube just prior to the throttle body, and on the turbo air inlet. Then some silicone couplers and another hole thru the radiator firewall. Fits in there pretty good.
