Doesn't seem right.
On a six cylinder, 1 goes together with 6, 2 with 5 and 3 with 4, 120 degrees apart.
On a four cylinder 1&4 and 2&3 goes in pair 180 degrees apart.

So with a cut down 6 cylinder camshaft you should only be able to get the crank/cam to sync for cylinder 1.
Unless you cut it in pieces and weld it back together in the correct configuration.

can you even do that?
the 6cyl firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4
so cutting the cams it would be 1-3-2-4 ??
does that sound right ??
It does. When i was in Germany, I had a discussion with a guy about this. He said cams from a supplier in England were available for the cut-down head. Piper Cams maybe?

Wonder if cams from the 16v 20XE will fit in the 24v?

Try these guys in London

https://www.larkspeed.com/

I bought a Kent Cams adjustable cam gear model S14 for Opel 1.6/1.9/2.0 engines (maybe more?) from them about 18 months ago. Easy to deal with at the time. I dealt with Rob Watkins at the sales@larkspeed.com email address.

Cams for 16v CIH

I got cams, double valve springs, retainers and mechanical lifters from KM Cams for my 2.5l 16v build. This is a Norwegian producer, delivery time was approximately 4 weeks, the price was better than from Risse Motorsport.
I am interested in the adjustable cam gears, where did you find the pictures?

I contacted these guys and asked them if they still supplied parts and they said yes even gave me a price for that cool looking header and the plate that seals the back of the head

The water pump, crank pulley and alternator all run off of a serpentine belt. I moved the alternator to the drivers side. I'll see if I can find what alternator and belt size I used.

Gary do you plan to use AC?
No room for the condenser with an oil cooler there.

Here's a pic of the alternator bracket taken from my build blog.

The belt (on my pollen coated motor) is NAPA Micro VAT 25-060365

And a pic of the alternator mounted.
