Not intending to actually do the 6 cylinder to 4 cylinder conversion but it has the aero engineer / mechanic in me curious. How does one just lop off two cylinders? Do you make two cuts to remove a section then weld the ends together? Knowing what a pain in the but it is to jig up aircraft parts for welding I can’t see how you guys are reliably, robustly, and accurately for a cost that makes sense. My hats off to you guys doing it.

Cut off the last two cylinders and add a cap at the end.

Welding cast iron isn't the easiest thing to do and it wouldn't be very reliable.

How do you reproduce the Valve cover sealing surface? Would seem like a pain to eliminate leaks.

Welding and machining. If I had the money and the interest of doing this, there is only one company in Germany that I would trust to do that.
